What should I do if I want to make a financial contribution to the Asante Children's Theatre?
If you want to make a financial contribution, the Asante Children's Theatre offers two gift-giving opportunities: Tuition Assistance Program or Annual Campaign.
The purpose of the Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) is to insure a child from a low income family may participate in ACT by receiving a full or partial financial scholarship.

Often, at-risk youth come through our doors with dreams and aspirations of becoming performing artists but their families most often lack the resources to afford the training we offer. ACT has thus created a unique opportunity for the community to directly support and benefit them. TAP is based on |

Ujima the third Kwanzaa principle which means collective work and responsibility. It implies we must build and maintain our community together. | |
As the oldest African American performing arts program for youth in the greater Indianapolis area, we believe it is our responsibility to accept these zealous youth into our program and not let their household income become an obstacle. Careful, thoughtful consideration is given on a case-by-case basis. After meeting specific eligibility criteria*, funds are made available to a deserving child. We need your help. For $175, you will present an at-risk youth with a life-changing experience.
The ACT Academy program is divided into three consecutive sessions, beginning in September and ending in June. Tuition for one twelve-week session is $175. Tuition for three twelve-week sessions is $525.
We accept gifts of any amount. When combined, they will make a difference and will be a tremendous benefit to an at-risk youth and their family.
Donors who sponsor one child for one session will be invited to attend a workshop session where you will witness first hand how we work with youth. For contributions of $350 or higher, you will receive (2) tickets to the main stage production of your choice. In each case, you will be highlighted as a TAP donor in our main stage program.
