"This is the best-kept secret in Indianapolis, and I hope to attend many more-what a beautiful theatre as well."
Lucyanne Appel, patron, September 2002

"At times when I attended presentations from your children's theatre, I saw so many wonderful young people with so much life, talent and ambition in them, I felt differently. These were events during the last year and a half that made me really feel that America can be great."
Paul Dubin, patron, April 2003

"I have to say I was moved to tears more than a few times by your beautiful young people. . .when my husband and I saw The Motown Story. Suffice it to say they gave the entire audience more pleasure in two hours than one of those traveling Broadway troupes. Thank you for sharing with Indianapolis."
Alicia Rasley, patron, June, 2002

"The staff of Asante Children's Theatre has helped my 16-year-old daughter achieve many of her goals. Her social interactions have improved tremendously and she gets along with her peers better, having been taught the importance of a positive attitude, respect for others and respect for herself while in the Asante Children's Theatre".
Alicia Young, parent, September 2003

"Thank you for the wonderful work that Asante Children's Theatre is doing with youth such as Jocque (Carey)-inspiring them and showing them that they can do anything and become anything their hearts desire. Your work is valuable beyond measure, as are the young people you serve. I am grateful that Asante is here in Indianapolis. You are making a difference!"
Nina Gondola, International Center of Indianapolis, December 2003

"ACT has the ability to unearth a talent that may sometimes lie buried within a young person.  With the right molding and direction a youth, who may not have thought they were good at anything in particular, can find the courage to venture into the unknown and realize a dream they did not know they had.  I know this to be true.  ACT did it for me."  Alison Woolery, March 2004

"My wife, Linda, and I have been enamored by the work that you and your theatre are able to accomplish with the youth of our community. In a time of so many negative influences, you have continued to be a pillar of positive light."
Charles "Tony" Edwards, Sr., patron and supporter, February 2007

Robin Cora, patron, March 2007

"I am so excited to be working with Asante Children's Theatre. The children make me proud--how they come together. I'm so full, I'd put an ad in the paper if I could!! People who miss the show are missing a treat. I'm amazed at how remarkable you all work with the children and how you have given them an avenue and given them a focus. I never regret working with Asante Children's Theatre."
Elizabeth Davis, patron and supporter, March 2007

"I know that ACT has had a tremendous impact on Jalen.  Jalen use to think that everything had to be fun.  He was having disciplinary problems at school because of this. Of course this also affected his grades. He wasn't willing to work hard for things that he wanted.  He never wanted to be challenged.  He would always take the easy way.

Since beginning ACT in September of 2007 Jalen is more focused than I've ever seen him.  He doesn't mind a challenge. He works hard at school now and his grades have improved.  He now knows what it takes to be good at something.   Although I did my part in transforming Jalen, I have to give ACT loads of credit.  They have shown Jalen that good things don't come easy.  ACT has given Jalen so much confidence.  In Soul, Clap and Dance he worked harder than I've ever seen him.  I never got so tired of hearing "clapping and stomping".  It drove me crazy, but it was a great site to see him working so hard.  THANKS ACT."    Miss Wooden, parent October 2008
"I have been most pleased with the change in Kennedy in the following way:  Kennedy is much more conscientious of time and wants to be very punctual as well as eating healthier.  Kennedy is very concerned about her nutrition."
Jeanine Coleman, parent October 2008
